About Us

YoungDrive has been running events since 1995 for children and young adults aged ten to eighteen. Unlike other companies, we specialise in events for children and families.

We are a family run business and we pride ourselves on giving the best experience possible.  We understand that your family and children are different and so every YoungDrive event is treated individually to meet your personal needs.

Our site is situated in 120 acres of glorious Sussex countryside. We have an unblemished safety record and hold full public lability insurance.

All our kids driving activities have been carefully chosen and tested to be appropriate for the designated age groups. We are used by many local authorities, scout & guide groups, youth clubs, as well as families for those special occasions.

  • Are the vehicles safe?
Whilst are vehicles aren't required to have an MOT check like you're own car. We have full workshop facilities on site with qualified mechanics who regularly carry out regular documented maintenance, servicing and vehicle checks on all of our vehicles.
  • Are there any age restrictions?
The minimum age to come to YoungDrive is 9yrs old. We always match the activities to suit the youngest participant, so even if some members of the group are 12yrs old we would pick activities from the 9-10yrs package.
  • Do I need experience n driving or riding quad bikes?
No, whilst some of our customers have loads of experience many don't. We are used to training beginner's and our experienced instructors will teach you everything you need to know on the day.
  • What should I wear?
Comfortable cloths that you don't mind getting a bit muddy or dirty. If it's wet and cold outdoor coats are important as once out on the activities there's verry little shelter. Walking boots are also a good idea if it's been wet. In the summer a hat and sun cream is wise.
  • Do I need my own crash helmet?
No, we provide a variety of different sized helmets where required. If you want to bring your own you can, but we take no responsibility for any damage that may occur to it.
  • Can I bring my own vehicle?
For insurance reasons we only allow groups to drive on our site using our equipment.
  • Are you open all year round?
We are closed in January. We are open subject to availability 7 days a week by advance booking only. Some activities may not be available if the ground is extremely muddy and wet. If you have booked one of the activities we reserve the right to substitute activities and vehicles.
  • What's the minimum group size?
Our minimum charge is 3 drivers. We then charge in multiples of 6 drivers to a team. So if you bring 5 drivers you will be charged for up to 6 and the 5 drivers will have an increased driving time.
  • Do you do food?
We don't have any catering facilities on site. We provide squash and water. Many groups have bough there own picnic or had pizza's delivered, we have benches you can use on site or our converted double decker bus if the weather is poor. Please let us know if you wish to book the bus so we can time our next booking accordingly.
  • Can adults take part?
Yes, if an adult wishes to take the place of a child within the group the can but there is a supplementary charge *as shown on the price list). Please note YoungDrive is aimed at groups of children if the majority of your group our over 16yrs old please see www.leisurepursuits.co.uk.
